DCI Book Club

DCI Book Club

The 9th of August is regarded as National Book Lovers Day. It’s a day for anyone who loves to grab a book from the shelf, curl up in a nook and whittle the hours away lost in another world. Reading is a hobby we strongly encourage at Dublin Cultural Institute. Not only is it fun but reading is a great way to improve your English.

Ireland is known for its rich use of the English language and some of the greatest writers in literature history have been Irish. From James Joyce, Bram Stoker and Oscar Wilde along with many others, their different writing styles have influenced the world. So it is fitting that we’re starting our very own DCI Book Club on National Book Lovers Day.

Students and teachers will gather at Dublin Cultural Institute each week to discuss and share their thoughts on books they’re currently reading. They’ll also write reviews in English for others to read.

The DCI Book Club is a social activity for our students to have fun, make friends and use to develop the English language skills that they’re learning at Dublin’s language school.
