Dublin Cultural Institute - Course Details |
Dublin Cultural Institute offers a wide range of courses at various levels to suit each student's individual needs.
All students are tested before the start of the course. The level test gives us an idea of the student’s proficiency
in English. The student will be then placed in a class suitable for his/her level. Students are advised to stay in
the same level for a period of time before they are able to move up to a higher level. When a student is ready to
move up to the next level he/she will be advised to take a written and an oral exam. Should the student be successful
in both assignments he/she will be able to move up to the next level. On successful completion of the course of studies
students will be awarded a school certificate. English language classes are tailored for levels ranging from Beginner
to Advanced.
Besides offering General English programmes, the Dublin Cultural Institute also specialises in preparation courses
for the Cambridge Exams. We offer preparation courses for all the levels of Cambridge (FCE, CAE & CPE)
and also for the IELTS Exam and Business English. These courses are exam-oriented and they exclusively focus
on preparing and providing students with the necessary skills to be able to pass these exams successfully.
The students will familiarise themselves with the format of the exam as well as doing extensive practice of
the different exam papers: Listening Comprehension, Reading Comprehension, Use of English, Speaking and Writing.
Entry requirements: Minimum age 16.
Restrictions: Please note that some levels have specific timetables. Please refer to ‘Courses & Timetables'.
