Dublin Cultural Institute - Frequent Asked Questions

1. Does the time of study depend on the level?
Students can choose the timetable they prefer although some levels/courses have specific timetables. Places in a particular course are subject to availability.

2. Could you please give me information on start dates of course as I need to plan my leaving?
You can join a class any Monday. Bank Holidays are respected. Classes would therefore commence on a Tuesday.

3. When can I pay the course fees?
Course fees are payable before your course starts. Full fees must be paid in full before course commencement. Students who need to apply for visas during their stay in Ireland must satisfy full course fees before the school issues enrolment letters.

4. Where is the Institute located?
The Institute is situated at 34a Bachelors Walk, Dublin 1, on the corner between O'Connell Street and Bachelors Walk. O'Connell Bridge is just opposite the school. We are just minutes away from all major attractions, General Post Office, Trinity College , etc.

5. Is the Institute close to the public transport?
The Dublin Cultural Institute is very close to most bus stops and train stations in the heart of Dublin city.

7. How can I register at your Institute?
To register you must complete our online registration form and send the course fees through bank transfer. If you are already in Dublin you can simply come into the school, fill in the enrolment form and satisfy the course fees.

8: What do I have to do to receive an acceptance letter?
All you have to do is supply all the necessary documents such as enrolment form, copy of passport, etc., and satisfy the course fees.

9. Can you help me to apply for my visa?
Yes. On receipt of the registration form and deposit we can supply you with the documentation required by the Department of Justice.

If you are applying from abroad, we recommend you contact your local Irish Embassy to check on the current requirements. You may also check the Department of Justice's website for any updates on visa information. www.justice.ie

If you are already in the country the school will provide the student with all letters needed to apply for a Visa.

10. Is there a registration fee?
There is no registration fee. Students only pay the tuition fees as stated on our price list. Any additional fees are indicated on our ‘Prices' section.

The cost of the course depends on the following:

i) How long you stay for
ii) How intensive your course is (how many hours per week)


11. When should I pay for accommodation fees?
For students and/or visa applicants applying from abroad accommodation fees must be satisfied at time of enrolment.

If the student is in Dublin , accommodation fees must be satisfied before the student moves into the host family. Host finding fee must be satisfied when at the time accommodation in requested.


12. How much money will I need per week for day-to-day expenses?
Apart from food and accommodation, we would recommend a minimum of €100.00 per week.
