Student Support

Our friendly staff are here to help you get settled into your new life in Dublin.

Finding your feet

Friendly language school in Dublin

We are here to help you find your feet in Dublin. Our friendly support staff will help you to get settled: in addition to accommodation services, we can offer help and advice on how to open a bank account, register with GNIB, get a student card and get your first travel pass.

We also offer orientation walking tours so you can get to know the city.

Finding a job

Studying in Dublin, Ireland

The majority of our students are working in Dublin at the same time as learning English. In our classes, we cover helpful topics like interview preparation and telephone English - and we also offer regular CV clinics.

Once you have found your first job, we can advise you on how to get a PPS number (which you will need to work in Ireland), and answer questions you might have about the tax and benefits system.

Higher education options

Female studies at Dublin Cultural Institute

Many of our students decide to go on and pursue higher education options, enrolling in an Irish college or university.

We are happy to discuss your options and provide advice and references.

Health and wellbeing

Dublin Bridge, Ireland

If you are suffering for poor health, physical or mental, please speak to our Customer Service Manager, Siobhan Smith in confidence. Please do not suffer in silence if you are feeling depressed, anxious or homesick. Talking through your problems can be very helpful. We also have contact with professionals who can provide more advanced care.

Our school facilities

DCI Facilities at Language School

Both our buildings have student lounges with tea and coffee making facilities, microwaves and seating areas for private study.

DCI also has a small library with a collection of graded readers, grammar revision books, exam practice materials, and DVDs available for loan.
